Hi, 👋🏾 I’m Opanike!
(pronounced O-pah-nee-kay)
I help women in midlife rebuild trust with their bodies through movement—especially in seasons of change like menopause, where the body can start to feel unfamiliar, heavier, slower, or harder to figure out.
My road to physical fitness and repairing my relationship with my body has been a lifetime journey.
Listen… I’ve struggled with food and weight for most of my life. That struggle looked like over-exercising, losing and regaining the same 30 pounds (more than once), chasing perfection, constantly checking the mirror for what was “wrong,” trying diet pills and fad diets—and using food to cope with what I was carrying emotionally.
So when I say I understand the cycle… I truly do.
And if you’re in a season where what used to work no longer works—where your energy is different, your motivation is low, and your body feels unfamiliar, especially as you move through menopause—I want you to hear this:
You are not broken.
I’ve always been a mover. Dance, roller skating, running, biking, yoga, hula hooping—I love it all. But movement didn’t truly change my life until I stopped using it to control my body… and started using it to connect with it.
That shift changed everything.
Through therapy, journaling, and deep inner work, I began healing the parts of me rooted in shame, perfectionism, and disconnection. I stopped hiding. I started listening. I learned how to take up space.
I began to experience my body not as something to fix… but as home.
This is what it means to live in your body.
Becoming a personal trainer wasn’t just a career move—it was a natural extension of that transformation. Because I started to see how many women were living the same story I once lived:
Knowing what to do… but struggling to do it.
Starting over… again and again.
Feeling disconnected, frustrated, and tired.
Now in my 50s and entering menopause myself, I embrace this season with curiosity and intention. I continue learning, growing, and redefining what strength, health, and confidence look like as my body changes—and I bring that lived understanding into the work I do with women every day.
My mission is simple and unwavering:
That means we focus on more than just workouts.
We focus on:
Whether you’re navigating menopause, adjusting to changes in your body, or simply feeling stuck and tired of starting over—you don’t have to figure this out alone.
You don’t have to keep starting over.
There is another way to do this—one rooted in trust, not punishment.
